The espresso was the only good part for us. The staff didn’t speak any English, and the man behind the bar seemed uninterested in serving us, repeatedly going out before taking our order. We pointed to a dish on the menu and ordered it, but were brought something else. Apparently the owner knew better what we wanted. It took half an hour to make two simple dishes, even though the bar was empty. Not impressive, and I wouldn’t recommend this bar.

INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE! Even in Vienna you can’t find a spaghetti vongole plate for 14 €! The portion was kid-sized and I’m still hungry. It was just enough for a moment, then I was hungry again. At least there was some white bread to mop up the last of the sauce. The waiter laughed when I said the place was more expensive than a four-star hotel in Vienna-Austria. And it’s October, too. Even in high season, that price would be unacceptable for such a tiny serving. Better just use the toilet and have a coffee ginseng. Never again! NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FOREIGNERS! Maybe they charge people from CAPO TESTA a different price ;-) Can you hear my stomach? Still hungry.

The people working here are incredibly kind and lovely, and everything they serve is high quality. The food, coffee, and drinks are all amazing. This is the most amazing bar in the world. Go visit, you won’t regret it.

I was backpacking around the island with two friends when the woman there looked at us and our backpacks with disgust. We’d just arrived, but she told us we couldn’t use the bathroom to wash our hands and not to stay there all morning. I’ve never been treated so badly anywhere. I have two degrees and know how to be polite, something she’ll never have. Sardinian people are normally amazing, but this woman really shouldn’t be serving people!
