Hotel Moresco

On our fourth visit to Moresco Hotel, we still felt right at home. The staff always make us feel welcome, and this time they’d left plush robes and authentic Italian cookies in our room, a thoughtful touch. We slept to the sound of the waves, with the sea and Corsica in the distance making a breathtaking view. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, just right for a weary traveler. Incredible, as always.

The only real bright spot was the friendly reception team, especially two welcoming women. Otherwise, I don’t think this place earned its four stars, and the prices felt too high for what we got. The room didn’t look like the online photos, and basic things like glasses and a bottle opener were missing. Breakfast was very basic. Bringing a dog costs €20 per day, with another €40 for cleaning. There’s a recreation area with a free sunbed section and another that costs €30 a day. The free beds are on a slope, so a chair slides if you try to lay it flat. Leave your sunbed for over an hour and staff may take your towels away, with someone else possibly in your spot when you return. Hotel guests also can’t put towels on the public beach sand, only swim there. Quite inconvenient.

We had a really relaxed stay as a couple, and the place is immaculate after a lot of work for the new season. The beds were super comfortable, everything very clean, and all the staff welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was great, as were the evening aperitifs by the pool. With one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen right there, I didn’t miss being unable to swim in the pool. There are extra charges for the car park, but in the off season street parking is free and there’s a nearby car park. The hallways echo and can get noisy, so please be considerate when you come back chatting or coughing loudly 😆. So glad we stayed, I’d highly recommend it.
