Residence Le Olivette

We've been using this place as our refuge for a few years, setting off in the morning by boat to whichever island we feel like visiting. The views over the islands of the Maddalena archipelago are spectacular. The rooms stay cool, even on the hottest days, and the place is clean. There's a minimarket, butcher and hairdresser just steps away, plus a bar open early until late that sells newspapers and tobacco and, unusually for this area, has an ATM. The pool is always clean. You can grill on your terrace, or some guests use the designated spot near the pool. The kitchen is well equipped, there's a TV with a digital satellite decoder, and parking is always available on the property or nearby.

The apartments have everything you need, and the utensils are new. Staff were very helpful, the pool is lovely, and the small town is nicely situated. One thing to be aware of: depending on the apartment layout, a terrace may sit above your bedroom, so you can hear quite a bit of noise.

The view is spectacular, and the place feels welcoming, with clean rooms and all the amenities. It's also handy for shopping in town, where there's a market, tobacconist and post office.

The panoramic view is stunning, and the place has what you need for a properly relaxing holiday. The staff were helpful and more active than ever. A perfect spot to unwind.
