Resort Valle Dell'Erica Thalasso & Spa

The food was a real highlight. I expected the usual unimpressive resort meals, but the food, menus, and atmosphere got better each night. Prices are high, though the restaurants delivered the quality and service of proper restaurants, and I enjoyed dining at each one. Hotel Erica was a pleasure for our honeymoon. The property feels unique, with several beachfront access points, each offering something different. Every staff member we met was lovely, kind, attentive, and quick to help. My main criticism is the rooms and general look of the place. The rooms need significant updating, and the grounds furniture could sound better. I stayed in the Erica section, which is older than Licciola, but I’d still recommend investing in the rooms, pools, furniture, and the rest of the property. It’s a truly special, lovely place, and I’d highly recommend it.

The place is beautiful, but getting around became a real pain. We kept waiting for golf carts that never came, day after day. Don’t take your car out for dinner either, the parking is a mile away and then you still have to wait for a cart. The food was another disappointment, really poor value for money.

The coastline is beautiful, with natural beaches and coves, clear water, and marine life. Snorkelling and swimming were wonderful, and at times it felt like having a private island to ourselves. We were welcomed with smiles and drinks, and Àneu from guest relations was kind and attentive to our family, especially the kids. Our 4 and 8 year old loved the kids club, Ericaland, with its attentive staff, fun entertainment, and learning activities. The concierge and buggy transfers made it easy to get around and explore different beach and pool areas, especially for my mother, who has limited mobility. The beach staff at Caracoli were very helpful, and bar Nemo had great service and evening music.

The bar at Va Pensiero had excellent drinks, and Antonino’s cocktails were world-class. The panoramic view from there was breathtaking. We also found the food extraordinary, and our rooms were clean and well appointed. The soundproofing was so good that we heard nothing from neighboring rooms. The grounds are extensive, but the golf cart shuttle made getting around quick and easy. We had a wonderful 8-day stay and are already looking forward to coming back next year!
