La Casa sul Poggio - Aiona

Poggio feels like a little refuge where Elisabetta makes everyone feel cared for. The rooms are lovely, with a kitchen and balcony, and the semi-covered pool is beautiful, without insects getting in. Even though it's close to the village center, trees and meadows surround the place, and it's so quiet. Breakfast in the garden was a treat, with Elisabetta's focaccia, cakes, ricotta, honey, jams, cured meats, and more. A dream spot for a really pleasant holiday. Thanks for everything, Elisabetta!

The cheesecakes are something I'll remember for ages. I spent a week here and loved the beautiful surroundings, clear pool, tasty breakfasts, and pastries that were always fresh. The owner really makes the place special. She's such a kind, charming hostess, a truly beautiful person.

The welcome was wonderful, and breakfast was superb, all homemade. There are big shared spaces inside and out, and the property is spacious and well cared for. It's surrounded by greenery with lovely mountain views, and the whole stay felt wonderfully calm and relaxing.

Our eight-year-old daughter joined in with the activities, from baking cookies and picking raspberries to milking cows and making cheese. We adults happily took part too, and it was a wonderful experience. We stayed for ten fantastic days, felt welcomed and pampered, and found the atmosphere peaceful but lively. It felt like being part of a family, and I rediscovered the flavors and smells of my childhood. The room was spotless and had a kitchenette with everything we needed. Breakfasts were superb. It's easy to get around: some trails start right in the village, and others are a short drive away. Since we didn't know the area, we asked our hosts for suggestions, and they were attentive and engaging. I've dreamed of a holiday like this for a long time. We'll definitely come back!
