The room was spacious and comfortably furnished, with a small balcony in the "Fruit" room. You can put up a mosquito net between the balcony and room, the blackout curtains were very good, and the proper bathroom door was a plus. I didn’t need the air conditioning. There’s a mostly quiet side street called Via Borgo, where the accommodation is located, not where Google Maps points you. The first-floor room wasn’t on the ground floor as I’d booked, and looked quite different from the Airbnb description, though it was okay. Breakfast is a voucher for a nearby café, with an Italian breakfast of pastries and coffee. I found it authentic. I didn’t use the shared kitchen. There were some problems, though. The bathroom was small, the hand shower had no shower head, and the overhead one was covered in limescale. The shower cubicle also wasn’t clean and had limescale on it, as the photos show. A loud humming sound, about six seconds long, started every few seconds in a neighboring room. I didn’t know what caused it, but found it unpleasant and, for me, an acoustic imposition. The Airbnb reservation itself went smoothly. The accommodation contacted me beforehand on WhatsApp, which I didn’t appreciate since correspondence is supposed to go through Airbnb. Leonardo and his employee, V., greeted me warmly, offered coffee, and then checked me in. But there was a copy of another guest’s ID on the table. Data protection?! I asked them to record my ID details without copying it, but they refused, even though that would be legally permissible.
