B&B Solder Chalet Dolomiti

A wonderful b&b in a bright, sunny part of Sappada. Signora Alessia is amazing, warm and so kind, including to our beloved dog. The room was beautiful and breakfast was fantastic. We hope to come back soon.

The chalet and the view of the cows were out of this world, and there was a sunbathing area with loungers and a hammock. We came looking to relax, and that’s exactly what we found. Alessia was helpful and kind, welcoming us in a warm but unobtrusive way that we really appreciated. We spent one night in the Baita dell'Amore, which had everything we needed, including a hair dryer since I’d forgotten mine, and even a lighter for candles. So much care in the details. Breakfast was excellent too. We’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been coming to Alessia's Solder Chalet at least once a year for five years, and EVERYTHING IS PERFECT! The rooms are gorgeous, all wood and finished with care, and the bathrooms look like something out of a magazine. By morning, breakfast has so many good cakes, coffee and fruit juices that it makes you want to leave. There’s a savory selection of cured meats and cheeses too, if that’s what you like. The holiday feeling starts as soon as you step out of the car in the parking lot. It’s a place of absolute tranquility, and the stay is wonderful in both winter and summer. Definitely worth it.

The apartment was carefully looked after down to the smallest detail, and I’ve never seen owners take this much care. There were soft, lovely smelling towels that still smelled good after several days, plus sheets and dishcloths. They also provided herbal teas, tea, coffee, sugar, honey, Nutella, jam, chocolates and sweets. For rainy days there were lots of board games and several books. The kitchen was well equipped, with plenty of paper towels, detergent, dishes and sanitizer, three coffee makers, a food mill, lots of pans, a useful oven and a microwave. And if anything was missing, you just had to ask. Parking was right in front of the house, and from the two benches and big table out front, as well as the bedroom, you could see the beautiful mountains. The ground floor apartment had its own entrance and was very hot, even with the thermostat set to 17 degrees, though you could adjust it yourself. We were two people with our dog, and they gave us a two-bedroom apartment with a beautiful, large, brand-new bathroom, a huge shower, a bidet, a window and a washing machine, usually shared but private here. The lady who manages the apartments and her mother-in-law were delightful. We talked at length about all sorts of things, and she was genuinely hospitable and helped us right away when we needed something. It was our first time in Sappada, over the November 1st 2023 long weekend. It’s one of the most beautiful villages I’ve ever seen, and despite the bad weather, I left my heart there. There are walks, hikes and waterfalls nearby at different levels of difficulty, so we hope to return in spring or by next summer at the latest.
