The location was good, right by the beach and near restaurants and bars, but it was very, very noisy. We stayed six nights, and although the hotel has been renovated, some things still weren’t quite right. Our window wouldn’t close properly, so traffic noise made it hard to sleep. On our first morning, nobody explained what we could order at breakfast, like eggs or orange juice. We only realized those were available after watching other guests order them.

I spent five nights at Hotel Tirreno and genuinely enjoyed my stay. Sapri is a great place to spend a few days, and the hotel offers very good value for money. It’s centrally located right across from the beach. The building has a lovely old-fashioned feel, while the rooms are large and scrupulously clean.

We had a nice stay overall. The location was good, the receptionist friendly, and our room clean and pleasant. The dining room attendant was only in the room briefly. We weren’t sure if the toast and ham at the far end were for guests, so we helped ourselves. He spoke English, and we don’t speak Italian.

The rooms are small, but very, very clean. It’s a nice place, reasonably priced, across from the park and ocean, and a great base for a week.
