The hospitality from the Venanzi family was lovely, and I’d highly recommend the villa if you enjoy peace and nature. It’s a rustic place, surrounded by greenery, with stunning views and a wonderfully restful quiet, one of the best places to stay near Sarnano. It can host up to 20 people across about 10 rooms, making it comfortable for a large group. The rooms are bright, clean, and welcoming, with a mix of private and shared bathrooms. Downstairs, two kitchens and spacious dining rooms give everyone room to spend relaxed evenings together. There are two ways in: a short but seemingly tougher road from the provincial road, and an easier route from the opposite side.

The owner was very kind and helpful, and suggested good places for dinner and breakfast. Take his advice. The villa itself is elegant and very well cared for, in a lovely, peaceful setting. At the end of June there were no mosquitoes at all, though I can’t say whether that’s true for the rest of summer.

We were stuck inside the house because of a bedbug infestation out in the countryside.
