We ended up paying €50 per person per day, which felt far too steep for what my family got. The June 2nd long weekend may have pushed the rate up, but that price is hard to justify for this service. We’d come to Saronno for a family event and stayed three days because we had no workable alternative. We’d picked CinqueSensi B&B partly because the photos made it look very nice. These points come from what my family told me, and I’m not writing out of spite. After reading the other reviews, I can see the owners sometimes respond sharply. There were some practical pluses: check-in was quick, there was no checkout process, and the electronic key app worked for both the B&B entrance and the rooms. The owner was kind and discreet, and managed to arrange an extra room at short notice. We also got a discount when leaving. The rooms were more dated than the photos suggested. It wasn’t a major issue by itself, but the furnishings clearly showed their age. The triple and double rooms shared a bathroom, which wasn’t mentioned in the quote. I should have asked. I think the single room used a shared bathroom too, since it was outside the room, though I’m not certain. There was no breakfast available, even for an extra charge, which makes the “B&B” label seem unnecessary to me, though I may be wrong about that. Some small details were frustrating: the TV only got certain channels, and I was told that some rooms only had RAI. A bath towel had a hole, and there was so little soap in the bathroom kit that we had to buy our own during the three days.

We went looking for breakfast at 7:45 in the morning and couldn’t find either the breakfast room or the owner, so we ended up going to a bar. That came after a cold night: there was no way to control the room temperature, and even with three blankets, my colleague and I were cold. We also found no soap, shampoo, or other toiletries in the bathroom, just towels, so we washed with water. My colleague had booked a business stay the day before, and we were there for one night in a double room. The greeting included a heads-up that maintenance was going on and the garden wasn’t in great shape, which, fair enough, can happen. They also pointed out that the French window wouldn’t close properly and said we’d have to fiddle with the lock. We forgot to ask about breakfast before going to dinner, so that part was on us. Still, after all that, I’m left wondering what “B&B” is supposed to mean here. Thanks.

I paid €600 for a month, and that covered rent only. They said weekly cleaning was included, but the room was so dirty when I arrived that I had to clean it myself with the little I had. I needed to be in Saronno, and with no other option, I stayed here for the month. The experience was awful. For the first two days I was put in a tiny room with a shared bathroom, then moved to one with a private bathroom. The room was extremely damp, with mold that’s unacceptable and bad for health, and it was full of spiders. It was dirty, things were broken or didn’t work, and there was no closet. They even gave me an induction hob to keep me happy, but it didn’t work either. I won’t get into every detail, the photos can speak for themselves. I’m sorry I spent so much money on a place I’ll remember for all the wrong reasons. A terrible stay.

The owner was friendly, and the station is about a 10-minute walk away. Our room was clean, but it was expensive for what came with it. It sat apart from the rest of the property in a furniture storage area, basically a converted garage, with a large glass window and a somewhat awkward overhead door. The little bathroom had no bidet and wasn’t heated well. We were given only face towels, and there was no shower kit unless you asked. I requested one and it was brought over.

The bathroom had almost no privacy. It was shared, which was our mistake for not reading closely, and had been fitted into the attic. The toilet flush was right by our wall, so every time the neighbors used the bathroom we heard a huge roar. Water was barely warm, the mirror was tiny and lit by candlelight, and men couldn’t really pee standing up. There was a huge jacuzzi tub, but it didn’t work. Breakfast wasn’t served either. Run away. The bedroom was also in an attic, with a nice skylight and no blind to keep out the morning sun. After a late birthday party, we’d hoped to sleep into the morning, but as soon as the sun came up, the room was too bright to sleep. There’s no guarded parking; perhaps the manager’s point was that he could see your car on the street from his window. “Never again.”
