I stayed in room #4 at Hotel Firenze in Saronno from April 18 to April 20, 2024, and paid over 135 EUR per night for a single room. As a business traveler who has stayed in approximately 500 hotels over the past few years, I found the value for money abysmal. Afterward, I contacted the hotel to see if we could reach a compromise, but they weren't willing to negotiate. I can't recommend it to business travelers or anyone looking for a comfortable stay. There was a constant smell of smoke in the room, especially in the bathroom, and loud street noise came through both day and night, as if there were little acoustic insulation. The shower pressure was too weak to wash properly, and the drain didn't work right, so water built up while I was using it. When I tried to raise these problems, the receptionist couldn't speak English and couldn't give me a complaint form. That made an already frustrating stay worse. One helpful thing was that they did allow me to check in late.

The rooms were clean, and the shower was great. It's a little outside the center of Saronno, but that suited us, and the train station isn't far away. The people were friendly, the price was good, and breakfast was simple but cheap. I'd recommend it.

I had to cancel because of health reasons and contacted them about a refund. They wouldn't return any of the money, not even part of it. That felt really unaccommodating. I'm disappointed and expected better.

We slept really well here. It's a nice hotel, easy to find, and the city centre of Saronna is pretty cute too.

Breakfast was outstanding, and the staff were so friendly. I'd recommend the place for families travelling together.
