Andrea and Stephano were fantastic hosts who went out of their way to make the stay memorable. My Italian is abysmal, but they still did their best to explain the area and offer advice, and they clearly care about showing it in a positive light. This is a really nice budget choice in otherwise quite expensive Valle D'Aosta. The private rooms are well furnished, there's a dining area downstairs and breakfast for a small extra price, plus even a tiny bar.

I left before my reservation was over after a night with no sleep. The main road is only 5 meters from the property, and the traffic was deafening day and night, with motorcycles, lorries, and tourists from all over Europe. The mattress was so worn from use that it had valleys on both sides, so I couldn't sleep in the middle. The wifi QR code didn't work on any of my 3 smart devices, and the network name printed on the paper in my room never appeared in the list. After five minutes I went downstairs for help. The owner dismissively accused all 3 devices of being broken without first checking the problem. He then looked at my device and pointed out a wifi signal that wasn't the one printed on the paper. In the morning I explained the noise and mattress issues at reception. The owner only asked, "Did you close the window?" Then he got angry and impatient, turned away, and waved his hand while rudely ordering his business partner to deal with me. I was charged for BOTH nights, with the owner blaming booking.com. I left that "motel from hell" feeling like a banana peel on the asphalt after someone had stepped on it. I've travelled the world since age 5, often work abroad, and have used booking.com since 2014. I've never experienced anything like it.

We had a nice room and good parking, with lovely views from this spot just outside Aosta. The co-owner was lovely and easygoing, and the owner spoke very good English. Thanks again!
