Agriturismo Finagliosu

I’d give it about 3.5. The best parts were the views, the clean room, the very good breakfast, and the clean pool overlooking the scenery. We’d planned to stay at an agriturismo so we could work and relax without having to go anywhere, but that didn’t work out. There was no internet connection, and the restaurant was closed, serving breakfast only. There’s just one pizzeria 6 km away, and anything else means driving another 28 km. I don’t know why the restaurant was closed, since nobody speaks English. Booking.com said there was a beach 950 m away, but we couldn’t find it, and nobody could give us directions in English.

At Agriturismo Finagliosu di Gavino Ventura, camping overnight is free if you buy food and drinks from the farmer. We paid 30 Euro per adult, with children paying a little less, for dinner with wine and water. Parking for our camper and use of the pool were free too, and there’s a sea view. A really nice place!

The food was incredible, course after course, and every meal topped the one before. The smoked riccotto cheese was unbelievably delicious. We got lost at night after taking a wrong turn down an old farm road, and the owner saw our lights and drove out to rescue us. He’s so kind and friendly, and his son explained each dish as it came. The restaurant was fully booked, which says a lot. Sardegna is not the same without a visit here. Highly recommend.

Beautiful location and tasty traditional food, a real taste of Sardinia you won’t forget. The hospitality is lovely, almost like being with family, while still having that holiday feeling and your privacy. Highly recommended!
