Sassari made a great base for getting out to places like Castelsardo, Alghero, Bosa, and the lovely secluded churches in the countryside. The town itself has a real local feel, with beautiful churches, a historic center and a lovely main square. It’s lived in by locals, not overrun with tourists. Parking nearby was fairly easy, and free. We spent a wonderful week in this beautiful apartment. It was spotless, comfortable, and practical, with everything well equipped, including a washing machine, iron, toaster and oven. The bedding was good, too. Our host was lovely, organized, and easy to reach, and made sure we arrived on time. There were thoughtful Sardinian touches, plus useful things waiting for us, like spices, coffee and tea. We’d highly recommend it if you enjoy exploring and getting a feel for local life.

There’s usually parking at the far end of the street. The apartment was clean, had a balcony and clothesline, and was well equipped. The squares and bars in central Sassari are about a 10-15 minute walk away.

The beds were really comfortable, and the rest of the apartment was very clean. The kitchen and dishes were a little dirty, though. The location was great, and everything we needed was there. 👍🏼
