Bed And breakfast Il Castello

The room was quiet with the windows shut, though you could hear some street noise when they were open. The shower, room, and private bathroom were all very clean, and the TV worked. The lady was extremely kind. It’s right downtown and convenient for a stroll, even for older people. Breakfast was excellent, with milk, coffee, pastries, rusks, different jams, chocolate, juice, yogurt, and muesli. There’s a microwave for warming milk. WiFi is available, and each room has its own key. They give you three keys: for the room, the main entrance, and the building door. I’d recommend it, 8/10.

This was my second stay, and I was very happy with it again. The owner is lovely, the room and bathroom were spotless, and the location is excellent. My son lives in Sassari, so I’ll be glad to return to Il Castello.

Being right downtown is great, but the views aren’t much to look at. The air conditioning only runs from 6 PM to 11 PM, so it gets roasting hot. Breakfast is skimpy, and the sheets are changed every four days, with towels every two. It’s not terrible, but without more air conditioning I’d stay somewhere else.

The cleaning was poor, and breakfast was chaotic. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi were available only for a few hours a day, and the temperature was locked at 25 degrees.
