Basic but clean, with staff who were very friendly and helpful. We had to evacuate because of the wildfires, and after calling about 15 hotels, this was the first with a room available. We called in the middle of the night, so I do wonder if the others really were fully booked. This hotel made a real effort to get us under a roof for the night. I’m very grateful.

Breakfast was the highlight, an international spread with all sorts of things to try. We stayed two nights and had a good time overall, though the hotel is old and it shows. The room was really small, and the key is one of those heavy things you have to carry around. It makes up for what it lacks in technology at breakfast.

The staff were helpful and generally very nice. The rooms are small but comfortable, with a fridge, and the food was good even if the portions were small. The air conditioning was very poor, and the place needs more facilities.
