The building at La Cachina was being renovated, and when we arrived the door was locked, so we couldn't check ourselves in. Sorting it out with staff was difficult, though eventually someone unlocked the door and gave us a discount on the room. That staff member was very friendly and polite. We had been moved to the neighboring B&B La Cachina because of pipe problems. The setting was lovely, surrounded by nature and not too far from Bologna. And the breakfast at La Quercia was exceptional.

The apartment was roomy, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's lovely and calming here, surrounded by nature and away from everything. Breakfast was included, with plenty of options, and the staff made coffee fresh, which was delicious. The check-in instructions were confusing, though, and we struggled a bit, especially since it was late. Aside from that, all was good.
