Hotel Terme Salvarola

Federica was the highlight of my stay at Hotel Terme Salvarola. From the start, she was warm, professional, and keen to make me comfortable. She answered questions, helped with reservations, and offered advice about local attractions, always with a smile and real efficiency. She adds a lot to the hotel's welcoming atmosphere. The hotel itself has a lovely ambiance, and I had an outstanding experience. I'd recommend Hotel Terme Salvarola for a relaxing getaway, and thanks to Federica, I can't wait to come back.

We were greeted very warmly at reception, and the hotel looks nice, but it felt almost empty. The restaurant was closed, maybe because there weren't many guests. The bigger disappointment was our room: the fridge didn't work, though the receptionist kindly offered to store our food in theirs. Later that evening we found the air conditioning wasn't working either. It was summer, and we barely slept. When we mentioned it the next morning, we were told most rooms had been renovated but room 104 had always had an issue. Since there seemed to be other rooms available, I wish we'd been given a different one from the start. It was disappointing.

The breakfast was very good and everything else was okay. We came in summer while we were in Modena to visit the Ferrari museum, and expected to use the pool. Instead, access with the spa costs an extra 15€ per person. It isn't included for free.

The wellness center is well organized, and the hotel is quiet. The original spring water thermal station is only for treatments prescribed by a doctor. The restaurant serves very good local food. Try the pumpkin-filled tortelli with Parmigiano and balsamic vinegar.
