This place seems best suited to groups of guys who want to party and have a basic bed near the city centre. I wouldn’t recommend it for families with children, especially if someone needs to spend time in the room for anything other than sleeping. We stayed in the “Hotel” part of the Villa and were surprised by how little furniture there was. The beds were hostel-level, with metal frames and bad mattresses, and the bathroom was very cramped. Still, things were clean, the room was warm, room service came daily, and there were no bad smells. Just don’t expect any cosiness. The poor soundproofing meant loud noise could disturb sleep, from parties in the city centre or people talking in the street on their way back. There were many parties.

Barbara Merlin came by and spoke briefly about her career. The restaurant is full of photos and stories, including one about how she got lost on the slopes with Pernilla Widberg. It's a quaint little place with good food that was cooked well, and it has the owner's distinctive touch.
