The location is a bit removed from the center, but the rooms feel welcoming and the staff know their stuff. Since the new management renovated the place, everything looks refreshed. The wood-fired Neapolitan pizza is excellent, and so is the fried fish.

The waiter couldn't really explain the dishes, and some orders arrived differently from what we'd asked for. The fish was pretty good, though. The gnocchi seemed store-bought, while the pizza was very good. The Calabrese had far too much chili pepper, which the menu hadn't mentioned.

The road outside is a main one, so there was quite a bit of noise. The rooms were generally clean, but service was a disaster in both the restaurant and at breakfast. There was cake or muesli, but no bread, and the muesli had no milk. We asked several times, got the wrong things, and eventually gave up. Just about okay for a stop while travelling, nothing beyond that.

The pizzas took a very long time to come out. I think they weren't used to handling such a big rush, especially in August. Still, for Calabria rather than Naples, the pizza was among the best around, maybe thanks to the Neapolitan pizza chef.
