Hotel Garnì Mille Pini

We felt so welcome at this hotel. The staff were all kind and friendly, and I loved waking up to birds singing in the forest. Each morning we headed downstairs for a wonderful breakfast, then set out hiking and walking around Abruzzo, enjoying the beautiful nature and picturesque villages. If I travel to Abruzzo again, I’d definitely stay here.

We had such a fun weekend here. You can head straight out for a hike from the hotel, and there’s a playground downstairs. The mountain feel is great, with lovely sitting rooms and balconies off the rooms that have lounge chairs. The staff were so nice and helpful, especially Enrico, who was sweet to my little boy. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. At night, there’s an excellent restaurant, La Baita, right across the street. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

The location seems good for winter sports. We had no heat, though otherwise the room would have been okay. Breakfast was great.

When we arrived, we thought our bags were lost, but the staff had actually taken them right to our room on the 4th floor, even though there was no elevator. Wow! The room feels a bit dated and was a little cold, but the wood paneling gives it a nice mountain hotel feel. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, and not bad. In the evening we stopped by the all-red relaxation room on the 3rd floor. It’s cool.
