It has a warm, family feel, and everyone’s friendly.

We spent three days here and loved the setting on one of the lake’s most picturesque stretches. The view is splendid, the rooms are clean, and the linens were changed every day. Breakfast was good, though the shared areas and pool seemed a little neglected. Meals were a real problem for us. Our daughter has food intolerances, but we couldn’t get even a simple penne al pomodoro because they only offered the daily menu. We had to drive out for both lunch and dinner. I’d only suggest staying one night to enjoy the scenery, and only if you don’t have dietary needs. The Wi-Fi never worked, at any time of day, even though there was coverage on every floor. With phone reception so poor too, we felt completely cut off. It’s a shame, because a few improvements could make the hotel much better.

The lakefront setting was the best part of our week at the Park Hotel over Ferragosto. The views and colors were breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset. There was live music each evening, and after trekking it was lovely to have dinner, listen to a few songs, and turn in. We had half board. Breakfast was good but not exceptional, while dinner changed from day to day and the traditional local dishes were all delicious. Service in the restaurant ran a little slowly, but it wasn’t a serious issue. There was also a small room-location mix-up because of a booking error, something the front desk could have sorted out. Since we were on holiday, we let it go and enjoyed ourselves. The property feels a bit dated, although our room was spacious and very clean, and the bathroom had been completely renovated. For the middle of August, the prices were truly competitive and the value was excellent. Recommended if you want a relaxing break with a priceless lake view.
