Agriturismo La Civitella

We had a week at Haus Asia and loved it. Luciano was such a lovely host. We'll definitely come back!

Luciano was always available when we needed him, while still giving us space. We had a wonderful holiday in the Asia apartment in August. The apartment was beautiful and practically new, and the view over the Argentario and Giglio Island was breathtaking. From the farmhouse, it's easy to head either to the sea or into the surrounding hills, with places like Saturnia, Pitigliano, and Magliano all very beautiful.

The view made every evening special, with a beautiful sunset over the sea and a panorama that included the Argentario, Giglio, and distant island of Elba. Civitella is also well placed, about half an hour from the sea and under 10 minutes from Scansano, with medieval villages and walks in the hills and mountains within easy reach. We stayed three weeks at Luciano's La Civitella farmhouse with my partner and another couple, in the Asia apartment. It was such a positive stay that the two of us want to return as soon as we can. The quiet green surroundings stayed comfortable even on the hottest days, sometimes we needed long sleeves and trousers. Luciano was delightful, kind, and helpful, with invaluable advice on where and when to eat or visit, and what to avoid. When we had car trouble, he went far beyond what you could reasonably expect from a host, and his great friendliness made it even better. The house had three bedrooms, one double, one queen-size, and one single. The beds and pillows were just right, the mattresses neither too hard nor too soft, clearly new and orthopedic. I think the aloe vera pillows were the latest generation, fantastic for someone like me with back and neck problems. The kitchen was well equipped, including a dishwasher, and the bathroom had an extra-large shower. Outside, the two apartments had separate private areas, each with a table, chairs, and deckchairs, plus two lovely, very functional barbecue areas. This place has stayed in my heart. We'll definitely return soon!

Luciano's warmth and easygoing nature made our lovely holiday feel special. He knows the area inside out and shared interesting details, useful tips on what to visit, and ideas for where and what to eat. We spent unforgettable days at La Civitella farmhouse, where the view runs from Maremma's countryside slopes all the way to the sea. The apartment was new, spotless, carefully looked after, and had everything we needed. Its location is very convenient for southern Tuscany's beaches, the Maremma Natural Park, archaeological sites, and the many medieval villages, starting with nearby Scansano. Luciano was a thoughtful, attentive host who added a lot to the experience.
