The pool was a highlight for me, with an unbeatable view and loads of sun, surrounded by the usual Tuscan olive groves. It’s one of the best pools I’ve seen. We just wished it were heated during the spring months. The outdoor communal area by the rooms was lovely too, with beautiful views and a spot to make a decent coffee. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the showers and products were great, and everywhere was immaculately clean and tidy. Breakfast had a good selection, and the scrambled eggs were amazing. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Fresh water was put in the fridge each day for us to take out. We only ate at the restaurant once. The food was good, though it felt quite pricey, and I would have liked more classic Italian choices, especially pasta. We ate at other local restaurants on the remaining nights, with plenty within a 20-minute drive. There’s no safe in the room, which would be a nice addition. Our main niggles were that the room got very hot without A/C, and opening the doors at night meant listening to the farm dogs bark loudly and constantly. The mattress and pillows were also very hard, and we woke with sore necks. These are all pretty picky complaints.

This was our second stay at Villa Preselle, and we came back in September 2025 with two friends. Last year, in August 2024, we celebrated our second wedding anniversary here and had the best holiday experience ever. We stayed in apartment 7 this time, looking out over the pool and Tuscan olive fields. Villa Preselle also grows and farms its own olive oil. Andrea has made a magical place where you can relax and experience genuine Italian culture. The standards were perfection on our first visit, from the buffet breakfast to the staff cleaning the rooms daily. This time Paula, the lovely receptionist, greeted us warmly. Staff were always happy to help, and we felt comfortable asking for nearby recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble. The menu has lots to choose from, and the Aperol and Hugo spritz by the pool were a treat. This is somewhere we won’t tire of visiting. We hope to start a family one day and bring them along to meet our Villa Preselle family ❤️ A few suggestions from us: hiring a car is very helpful for getting around Grosseto, and we took a day trip to Siena. Visit Pienza in Val de Orcia, where the house from the iconic Gladiator movie with Russell Crowe is made. For pizza, try Pizzeria Lan Vigna. Papa Gianni and Mama Luisa have been making pizzas from their home for 40 years. Papa Gianni makes them while his children and grandchildren wait tables. Such a friendly, wonderful Italian experience, and the pizza is just INCREDIBLE. THANK YOU VILLA PRESELLE FOR THE MOST AMAZING HOLIDAYS. We’ll be back soon 🫶🏼💕

The staff at Villa Preselle were amazing and helped us with anything we needed. We booked it with my partner for a quiet, scenic getaway, but made the mistake of coming without a car and struggled to get around. The rooms are really spacious and comfortable, and the views are spectacular. 10/10, would highly recommend.

The food was very good, and Anja at reception was especially kind. The pool looks out over that perfect Tuscany view you see in all the pictures. Amazing location. My only gripe with the room was being able to hear everything our neighbour did in the bathroom 😁

We had such a hard time leaving, and will definitely come back 😍 The apartment was a lovely choice for our 20th wedding anniversary, and we couldn’t have picked a better place ❤️ Anja made sure we had everything we wanted, and the service was extraordinary. The setting is beautiful, with views over the Tuscany hills. Breakfast was great, and dinner in the restaurant was delicious, with amazing food and wines. There are also many nice vineyards in the area worth visiting.
