We'd happily come back. The apartments are lovely, clean and peaceful, with a good location and friendly staff. There can be a brief power cut if you switch on a couple of appliances, but it's easy to fix by turning the power back on just outside the apartments.

It's a lovely, quiet setting with lots of greenery and views of both the sea and mountains from most apartments. You can hike, head to the beach, or visit historic villages like Massa Maritima and Scarlino, and there's very little traffic around. The rooms are clean, the staff are super friendly, and even with plenty of guests the place rarely feels crowded. I'm always glad to return. WiFi is the one thing I miss. It's only available in the lobby and a few rooms, and the connection is slow and unreliable. The nearest village is a few kilometres away, though, so I don't blame the hotel for it.

The apartments are spacious, air-conditioned and fully equipped, and the resort is clean and well cared for. The pool is nice, with a lifeguard there full time during the summer peak. Internet was the letdown: it's wired, so you'll need a WiFi device, and the connection in both of our apartments was painfully slow, like dial-up.

The pool was a real treat on hot summer days when we wanted to relax. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable, and the location worked well for a week in Toscana, with lovely beaches close by and plenty to visit inland. The main drawback is that there are no mosquito nets, which are badly needed.
