La Locanda di Adele - Il Giardinetto B&B

A cozy room close to Florence, with great communication and service.

Okay.

We ended up in Scarperia after detouring from the Via degli Dei when we spotted posters for the tortelli and prugnolo festival. There were five of us, and although we called that evening at short notice, the very kind owner agreed to stay for us. The cottage feels like a little museum, full of enchanting models and illustrations with stories posted alongside them. Our bedrooms were lovely, and the garden looks out onto greenery, with the sunrise lighting the east side of the house. It felt magical. Thank you to Mrs. Patrizia for keeping us company so pleasantly when we got up!

We chose this place for being five minutes or less from the Mugello racetrack, and got a good deal booking through Booking.com. The room was clean and had an en-suite bathroom, TV, and a large balcony. There wasn't air conditioning, but fortunately the summer night wasn't unbearably hot. All night long we could hear what sounded like water running upstairs, as if a tap had been left on. We mentioned it to the staff in the morning, and they said they'd look into it. Breakfast was simple and good, nothing fancy. Recommended, especially for the track location.
