Active B&B Prairerhof

The rooms are simple and practical, and I slept really well both nights. The hot tub and sauna were nice extras, though the tub was a bit cold for me. The sauna only gets heated once someone books it, which can be awkward when you don’t know in advance when you’ll want to use it. It might work better to have set hours, say 4-8pm. Breakfast was great, as other reviews say, and Thomas was usually around to help plan the day. Prairerhof is right in the centre of lovely Scena, close to public transport, a supermarket, a pretty church, a castle and lots of hiking trails. The rooms and hot tub/sauna also have a great view.

We felt welcome straight away, and everything went smoothly. The host was warm and helpful, including with places to visit, the transport card and using the sauna and jacuzzi. Highly recommended.

The hotel and rooms were very clean, and we had a wonderful stay. We’d definitely come back. You can hear what the neighbors are saying, though, so I’d suggest renovating the rooms.

We stayed four nights with our two kids, ages 7 and 8, in two rooms facing each other. The family running the place were extremely friendly, and nothing was a problem. We could use the shared kitchen and the great pool. Schenna is very family-friendly, with regular transport to the lifts and to trailheads for hikes with kids.
