Baumgartner's Blumenhotel

The people, the setting, and the food were all lovely. It was my husband's birthday during our visit, and the hotel picked that up from our registration details. They went out of their way to decorate our table, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Thank you!

The meals were a real treat, with plenty of choice and something for everyone, vegetarians included. Many of the dishes looked like little works of art. We also enjoyed the afternoon cake, fruit salad, and yogurt. From our room balcony, we could see the mountains and Schenna Castle, a truly special view. The hotel has a lovely pool with whirlpool, a well-kept spa, and attractive outdoor areas. The staff were friendly throughout, and we felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was varied and tasty, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice and other vitamin drinks. We appreciated the morning newsletter with excursion suggestions, the weather, and details of hotel activities like yoga and water aerobics. It was a relaxing holiday that we'll remember fondly. Thanks to everyone who made it such a good stay.

We had a peaceful weekend in clean surroundings, with a large spa and pool area. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and dinner's dishes and choices were excellent. Most of the other guests seemed to be Swiss or German. We had a serious problem with our daughter's cot. It was wobbly and defective, but when we asked reception to replace it, they refused. No one got back to us, so our daughter ended up sleeping with us, with all three of us squeezed together. They should offer a triple room upgrade instead of a double, or replace these genuinely dangerous cots. The pool water also seemed far too chlorinated. It discolored our swimsuits, so the dosage needs another look.

Even with the hotel fully booked, it never felt busy or hectic. The spa was beautiful and peaceful, and the beds were a dream. It's a lovingly run family hotel, and the warm welcome makes you feel at ease right away. They seem happy to take care of every wish, and gave us great excursion ideas that aren't on everyone's radar. We'll definitely come back!
