Boutique Hotel St Georgen

There are plenty of excursions nearby, and the hotel has excellent bus connections. The host and staff were always friendly and helpful, with useful ideas for activities. We also felt warmly welcomed with our dog. Our room was spacious, had a balcony, and was cleaned thoroughly each day. The breakfast was well balanced, and the mountain views were fantastic. There's a large new pool with lots of loungers and a wonderful panorama. In the evening, we enjoyed the range of drinks at the bar. With breathtaking views and a beautiful setting, this is a great choice for anyone who loves mountains and adventure.

Our room had a balcony with a wonderful view over Merano and the mountains. The building and furnishings are a little dated, but everything is very clean and well looked after, and the bathroom in our room had been renovated. We also enjoyed the terrace, the beautifully maintained garden, and the pool with its lovely view. Breakfast is a small selection, but it's excellent, and they made fresh squeezed juice for us daily. The owner was very friendly and clearly wanted us to have a pleasant stay. We had a lovely time and would return. The location in Schenna is perfect!

We spent ten days here and left feeling completely rested, free of our work stress. We'd be delighted to return next year, and highly recommend the hotel. Kornelia and Armin put their hearts into looking after guests. They're warm, attentive to requests, and never intrusive. Their hotel is in a quiet spot overlooking the Merano basin, with elegant decor in soothing colors and a beautiful garden. The rooms were spacious, peaceful, spotless, and had very comfortable beds. The woman who tidies the rooms even surprised us with little works of art made from the pillows and duvets. They also clearly pay attention to environmental sustainability. Breakfast was served against the garden backdrop and was excellent, with homemade jams and cakes, yogurt, brioche, juices, honey, plenty of fresh fruit, and a rich savory buffet with cheeses and many kinds of bread. Excellent artisanal ice cream was available at any time. We spent our days trekking along the many nearby trails, so we didn't even go for a swim. Our family had wanted to spend a few days in the South Tyrol mountains for a long time. We came across the boutique hotel St. Georgen in a simple internet search, and it turned into a wonderful holiday. It's tucked into the hills near Scena, just above Merano, with a garden and outdoor pool looking out over the Venosta Valley. The whole place feels like a peaceful oasis, and the interior is beautiful and welcoming. Armin and Kornelia run the hotel with real passion. Armin takes care of guests' needs with great warmth, while Kornelia personally oversees the kitchen. They're both very kind and attentive. Our rooms were spotless and sanitized. Breakfast was exceptional, carefully prepared with fresh local and organic products. The generous buffet had lots of fresh fruit, Mrs. Kornelia's homemade jams, different fresh breads, honey, cheeses and cured meats, homemade desserts, and yogurt with granola options for all sorts of needs. It was a truly lovely trip. Thank you from all of us, and we'll gladly return if we get the chance.
