The meals were a treat, and the kids loved the thoughtful touches and activities. We spent Christmas at Hotel Hohenwart with our children and dog, and the family who runs it made us feel at home from the start. The place is cozy and charming, with comfort and elegance throughout. Their care and attention made it a special family stay in S-Tyrol. We can’t wait to return.

Our Rosensuite had a lovely private terrace and a fantastic view. The three-quarter board was another highlight, with cuisine that kept exceeding our expectations. At Hotel Hohenwart in Schenna, the family-run feel came with luxurious amenities and a genuinely warm welcome. We had a wonderful stay.

We found plenty of hikes starting right from the hotel, and Merano is about a 50-minute hike away. The place was comfortable and clean, with a great location. Food and spa were very good too. Highly recommend.

Set high above Meran, the hotel looks out over the valley, and in winter the cable car is just five minutes away. It’s a warm, family-run place with spacious rooms, modern food, excellent service, and a top-tier spa. Highly recommend.
