Casa dell'Aromatario b&b

Out of the four hotels we stayed in on our trip, this one was easily our favorite. The brothers who own and run it are friendly, always ready to help, and clearly care a lot about their guests. They turned an old building into the whole place themselves, and did a great job of it. Take a look at the garden and learn about the hotel’s history while you’re there. Highly recommend, and we’ll return.

The rooms were well equipped, and Silvio and his brother were thoughtful, fantastic hosts who were always willing to help. We had a lovely breakfast in the cellar they restored with such care. The sensory tour was fun too. You can tell this is a labor of love. We’ll definitely come back!

After ten days travelling around Sicily, this was easily the best place we stayed. The facilities were brilliant, right down to the careful details and finish throughout. The location and breakfast were amazing, and Carmelo’s guided tour of the property and herb garden made the stay even more special. The history of the place was incredible.

The hosts know so much about the building’s history, and gave us great suggestions for places to eat, sights to see, and areas to explore. It was clear how much they care about their guests and the history of both the building and town. Their breakfast downstairs was delicious, with local meat, cheese, pastries, and even an anchovy dish they made themselves. We also enjoyed tasting and smelling all sorts of unusual herbs and plants. The rooftop terrace was a special spot to eat pizza and listen to Sciacca bustling at night. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, and we loved the building and interior as soon as we arrived. We felt like family at this B&B. We even decided to stay a couple more days instead of heading back to Palermo. It’s been our best experience in Italy so far, and we definitely want to return.
