La Casuzza del Centro

That lovely terrace looking out over the Sciacca sea was the highlight of our comfortable winter break last week. La Casuzza di Lara is a cozy two-room apartment in the quaint San Michele neighborhood. Bars, restaurants, and local shops are easy to reach on foot, as is the Saturday morning market for fresh vegetables and fish. It also makes a great base for exploring the island’s south. Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples are just over an hour away. Lara is always available to welcome you and share tips for experiencing the authentic "Sciacca." Highly recommended!

We found Casuzza di Lara and Casuzza del Centro comfortable and intimate places to stay in the historic San Michele neighborhood. The casuzza is especially quiet, with new, modern linens and tableware. The owner is courteous and kind, always happy to share information and suggestions. Traditional shops, pizzerias, restaurants, and bars are close by, and it’s only a few hundred meters to the historic center. There’s plenty of parking in the little square at the start of Via Garigliano. Highly recommended.

Lara’s little house was fully equipped and made for a welcoming, relaxing stay in charming Sciacca. A great fit if you want a peaceful holiday with everything close at hand. Well done, Lara!

The house has a lovely terrace and is near bars, pizzerias, and shops. It’s in the historic center, so expect narrow streets, and there’s no air conditioning.
