The staff were a huge help while my wife was in hospital and I needed to stay nearby. Big thanks to Giuseppe Daniella and Antonella, who went above and beyond in many ways. My room was clean, the bed comfortable, and there was a small balcony with a sea view where I could sit outside. There’s a car park at the back and an elevator serving every floor. I hope to stay again under better circumstances.

The hotel’s quality has stayed the same over the past 10 years. It has bed neighbours at technical building level, and getting to central Sciacca means tackling 245 stairs. Still, the quality for the price is good, and Al Faro Trattoria is nicely located just 100m away. Full recommendation.

Don’t let the small size put you off. This hotel is comfortable, three years old, and has all the amenities Americans are used to. Xena at reception is a real asset: she’s American, her parents are from Sciacca, and she’s full of energy, smiles, and useful city information. I wish every hotel had someone like her on staff. For a good meal, ask about Ristoro on the port, across from the Coast Guard (Guardia Costiera).
