The pool is a long way above the rooms, reached by rocky steps and ladders that felt dangerous. Getting there would be difficult for anyone using a wheelchair or stroller, and I worried about children on the route. The barbecue area looked nice, but there was dirt and bees around it. The cleanliness was only decent, with ants everywhere, and cats came prowling for rubbish in the evenings, tearing open garbage bags. It was disgusting. The setting itself is attractive, among greenery and about five minutes from the center. It’s quiet and could suit people looking to relax. But our request to use the pool on departure day was refused, with the owners insisting we had to leave at 10 after checkout. We’d traveled to villages in Sicily, Puglia, and Calabria, as well as 3-, 4-, and 5-star hotels and B&Bs, and had never been turned away on departure day. We were three families with small children and a pregnant woman, and had asked as a courtesy. Their rigid response really annoyed us. We stayed here in 2015 and were treated completely differently then. It’s a nice place, but the owners showed very little understanding of people’s needs. Not recommended.

We had a wonderful week here. The residence sits above Sciacca on Mount Kronios, a handy base for both the archaeological sites and the beach. The grounds are very well cared for, with plenty of greenery, a lovely pool, and a splendid view. There’s clear attention to detail throughout.

The view was spectacular, and the owners were very kind. We spent two days here with my husband and children, enjoying this peaceful green oasis a few kilometers from Sciacca. The apartments were lovely and had everything we needed, and the pool was beautiful and spotless. There’s also a barbecue guests can use. Excellent value for money. Thanks again, we had a wonderful time and will definitely come back!

We enjoyed the sea at Sciacca while staying in the quiet of this lovely hilltop property. The historic center is only a five-minute walk away. Our apartment had everything we needed, from kitchen utensils to an iron and ironing board, and recycling was well organized. Entry is through a separate entrance, with magnetic cards for the main gate. The veranda has a breathtaking view. The owner greeted us warmly, and the beautiful pool is about 50 meters away, lower down from the rooms. At night, soft lights along the driveway let us take in the view and the starry mountain sky.
