We should have paid more attention to the reviews. We were a family using three rooms, and they smelled awful, with mould on the walls. Two had broken toilet flushes, and both the air conditioning and fridges were noisy. There were no mosquito nets, so we couldn’t leave the windows open. Cleanliness was very poor overall, apart from the pool bathrooms. The gardens and pool area are nice, but the pool wasn’t especially clean and there was dog poo on the grass. The hosts were pleasant, but didn’t seem to recognize the property’s shortcomings. It has a lot of potential if they pay more attention to cleanliness. Sciacca is a 15-minute drive, but watch out for Google Maps, since one access road has huge potholes and is in terrible condition. Come from the Sciacca direction, not from the north. Better yet, don’t come at all and book somewhere else.

The owner was helpful, but the place needs maintenance to provide a complete service. The outside is beautiful and well kept, and the location is the only real plus. Inside, the bathrooms badly need renovating. Duct tape in the shower and rust everywhere aren’t acceptable for the price of a 4-star hotel. The breakfast’s non-recyclable plastic cups were unacceptable too.
