The only snag was finding somewhere to park. We were there on a holiday, and markets made the nearby area busy. Otherwise, it was great. The room was well furnished, with a lovely atmosphere, and the central location put everything close by. We appreciated the two bottles of water, coffee pods, and machine, thoughtful touches. There’s also a hairdryer, TV, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi.

The shower tray only covers one side, so the bathroom often flooded while we showered. The room was actually a quadruple, but I’d suggest no more than two adults and two children, since the loft's second double bed wasn't comfortable for two adults. There was a slight damp smell when we first entered, though we still had a pleasant stay and the room had all the comforts we needed. The dammuso is tucked down a side street off Piazza Italia, just a few steps from central Scicli. There are two bars, a Unicredit bank, and some parking spaces on the main road nearby.

The bathroom was spotless, just like the lovely, comfortable room. Breakfast at a nearby hotel was equally good. Highly recommend.

The Damuso has real charm and a traditional feel. The owner was kind and very helpful. Highly recommended.
