Fabia was a lovely host, friendly and attentive to every detail, and helped us with anything we needed. The house was spotless and had all the comforts we could ask for, with the Mediterranean right in front of it and a terrific view. Restaurants, pizzerias, supermarkets and other facilities are about five minutes away by car. It’s the best house we’ve stayed in so far in Sicily. We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely come back.

Fabia's apartment has become our home away from home in Sicily. We return each year to Via Balena and feel like honorary residents of this small, friendly community. For the past six of the more than 20 years we've spent taking spring or autumn holidays in Donnalucata, we've stayed here. We first made friends around Ragusa through our shared love of 'green Sicily' and exploring its hidden valleys and hills by mountain bike. We especially love spending time on the balcony, with coffee and a sea view in the morning or wine and antipasti in the early evening. The cool, airy white rooms and artwork reflect the colors of the sky and sea, and the place is extremely comfortable. Fabia has thought of just about everything, from a tiny cup for children to a huge outdoor parasol. June and September are our usual months. The weather is almost always warm and sunny then, without the crowds of high summer, and the Mediterranean light on the landscapes and seascapes is wonderful. Sicily itself has so much to offer in its culture, food, architecture and history. The local food is amazing, with lots of interesting places to eat. This felt like the real Sicily, with kindness, friendliness and generous hospitality that made us feel at home. The house is a jewel, kept clean and sanitized in every corner and equipped with everything inside and out. Fabia is a discreet, dependable person to turn to if anything comes up. The place deserves to be enjoyed and respected.
