B&B Al Vicoletto

A good choice for a budget weekend by the sea. The price is reasonable for what you get, and breakfast at the bar comes with a splendid view. The location is especially convenient, just a short walk from the breakfast bar and the main square, where an elevator goes down to the beach. The room for two was comfortable enough, clean, and had the essentials. Service was helpful and standard.

This felt like a basic room rental, not a B&B, and it didn’t match the photos. There was no kitchen, and although I’d told the owner Peppe that we had a small child, he gave us an uncomfortable room with no appliances to warm the baby’s milk. The room looked tidy at first, and the building was new, but it was poorly maintained. The floor and sheets were stained, the shower was awful, and the place has no panoramic view. The one good thing was the arrangement with the "bella vista" bar. They were very helpful about warming milk and keeping food cool. But there was no fridge service, no food or drinks in a fridge, and room cleaning happened only once during our 5 nights. At €90 a night, I expected daily cleaning and a fridge stocked with things to eat and drink. The price felt far too high for what was provided. I felt very embarrassed by the situation with our child. I’d absolutely not recommend this for a family, and never again. I wish I could upload photos of the shower to show how unclean it was.

The breakfast was the one bright spot, served at a bar with a beautiful view, and it was very good. The rest was a real letdown. We stayed 3 days and wanted to leave as soon as we walked into the room. It was tiny, like a cubicle, and very dirty. The floor and bathroom both looked as if they’d never been washed, and the bed and pillows were terribly uncomfortable. The B&B isn’t 300 meters from the sea, it’s up in the village. You have to take an elevator or walk down a very long staircase to reach the seafront, which isn’t easy. Highly not recommended.

The owner did help with our luggage, which was the only positive. We paid 75 in September for a double room, and getting to it meant climbing endless narrow stairs. Inside, the TV was tiny and mounted on the ceiling, so you couldn’t really watch it. The air conditioning was noisy, and the fridge was unplugged when we arrived, so we had to wait hours to use it. I strongly advise against staying here.
