B&B Romeo e Giulietta Scilla

Breakfast on the panoramic terrace above the sea was such a peaceful, beautiful start to the day. It was excellent, and the host also let us use one of his umbrellas for free at the public beach. Mr. Antonello and the breakfast ladies were always kind and smiling. Our room was Luisa, the first one up the distinctive spiral staircase. It was cozy, comfortable, clean, and carefully kept. I also saw some of the superior rooms, which were elegant and full of charm. The whole property has lovely majolica and ceramic details inspired by Mediterranean tradition, which give the rooms their character. Chianalea's layout does mean you have to leave the car outside the limited traffic zone and walk uphill with your luggage. The beauty of the village made that easy to forget, and characteristic tourist Ape cars are available to take visitors in. The B&B sits on the main street in the heart of Chianalea, a charming village in Calabria, and was a great choice for soaking up its atmosphere. Mr. Antonello welcomed us warmly and gave us all the information we needed for an easy stay. I knew we'd chosen a beautiful place, but it exceeded my expectations by a lot. This stay will be one of my loveliest memories of visiting Chianalea. The sea view from our suite on the fourth floor was wonderful, and its two terraces were a real treat. A generous, varied breakfast was served on the second floor. The owner was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. There are a few things to improve: the linens hanging in the breakfast area should be taken down, and cleanliness needs a little more attention. The pillows arrived without covers, though I was given covers right away. Access to the rooms is by a lovely spiral staircase, which should be mentioned. The sea view makes up for a lot.

We were welcomed efficiently and warmly. The B&B has a lovely terrace looking out over Chianalea and the sea.

Breakfast by the sea was excellent and plentiful. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the owner was kind and welcoming. The property is lovely, right in the middle of Chianalea, and our clean room had everything we needed.
