Getting to our favorite lido on the beach took just five minutes on foot, and there were plenty of restaurants and great ice cream within walking distance. The train station was nearby too, so the location was excellent. My family and I were very pleased with our stay at Hotel U'Bais. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. Our rooms were spacious, clean and air-conditioned, and we always had fresh towels. Someone was available day or night if we needed anything. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we visit Scilla.

The staff were super, and the hotel’s beachside location was fantastic. Our room had a great bed, a wide breakfast selection, excellent shower pressure, and blinds that made it pitch dark. We could even dry our beachwear on the balcony, a nice touch. For fresh seafood in beautiful settings, we had incredible meals at Grotta azzura, Il Pirata and the Nasse in Reggio.

The beach was only a few minutes away, and the walk to the port area was pleasant. The shower was great too, with plenty of hot water and strong pressure. The rooms were spotless but a bit dated, and the service let the place down somewhat. Earlier guests had cleared out the breakfast buffet, and it still hadn’t been replenished when we asked.

If you’re arriving by train, the location is ideal, and it’s very handy for the beach. The old port, the more touristy part of town, is a bit farther away. The decor felt fussy and old fashioned to us, and a little tired, but cleanliness, location and facilities were all hard to fault.

The suites are quite spacious and affordable, and both the breakfast and the staff were good. Just be aware that the nearby train could bother you if you’re a light sleeper. Otherwise, I’d recommend this simple hotel in the area.
