Bribano Hostel and Bike Sharing

Considering the kind of accommodation this is, the rate I paid felt reasonable for what was provided. The hostel was clean, well equipped, and had large, bright, comfortable rooms. The manager was courteous and professional. It occupies the upper floor of the Sedico-Bribano station building, which makes the whole setup unusually clever and distinctive.

The manager was very friendly. From the station side, the view is breathtaking, though during the day it can get a little noisy on the station square side. For breakfast you can go to the station bar, or a little farther toward Belluno to the fabulous Bar Agata at the Beyfin gas station. The rooms are a reminder of older homes, with high ceilings and plenty of space. The old station building has modern, efficient, clean and tasteful amenities, furnishings and services. Each room, toilet and shower is in its own separate area. There are shared sinks, a kitchenette and a large living room with a huge TV. How enjoyable the shared spaces are depends quite a bit on the roommates.

Bribano train station is a handy base, with the bus stop right there and easy connections to just about anywhere. There’s also a supermarket, pharmacy, pizzeria and several bars close by. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and we couldn’t hear noise from the other rooms. There’s a shared lounge with a sofa and TV, plus a kitchen and coffee machine. We had a quiet, pleasant stay, and Matteo was very helpful.

For what we paid and what Booking.com said the property offered, the stay met our expectations and even went beyond them. That’s why I gave it excellent ratings across the board, and would have scored it higher if I could. My ratings would be lower if I were judging it against the absolute standards of an ultra-luxury hotel, but that wasn’t the basis for my review.
