Hotel Viteama

Vincenzo is a great host and always around when you need him. This family-run hotel has clean rooms with air conditioning and TV, a good price, and a handy location, about five minutes from the beach and restaurants. Recommended.

My mother, my sister, and a friend arrived on August 14, 2025, and what followed was awful. The room was in poor shape, but they overlooked that and went to unpack the bed for a rest. The sheets were flannel. Since it was mid-August, they went downstairs to take a walk and asked the owner politely if the sheets could be changed. He invited them back up to the room and joked, "What do you want me to change the tablecloth tomorrow morning too?" Once inside, he shut the door, stood in front of them, cursed at them aggressively, and threw them out of the building for no valid reason. They went downstairs with their suitcases and met his son, who tried to find a solution, while the father kept shouting that they had to leave. With no other accommodation available, they had to head home.

The staff at this family-run hotel are friendly and helpful, and the location is great, just a five-minute walk from the beach and restaurants. There’s a TV and air conditioning, and the building has an elevator. The price is reasonable for the area. The one problem is the bathroom: as the photo shows, there’s no shower curtain, so water ends up everywhere.

A terrible experience, and I never even stayed there. I booked directly for the room shown on the website. Mr. He didn’t show up or even say hello when I made the booking. I called several times asking for confirmation by email or text, but he just said, "Don't worry!" and sent nothing despite my reminders. I eventually got a confirmation, though they had barely managed to write my name correctly. About a month before the stay, I had to cancel for family reasons. I still emailed them, even though there had been no agreement by phone or in writing, and they replied, "We had no doubts," with some insinuation I couldn’t make sense of. Definitely not recommended. I wouldn’t stay there even if it were the last place available. I attached a screenshot of the email as evidence of their response.
