Lenzerhof

All good.

We were a couple with two six-year-olds, staying for a week in August 2025. The Rederlechner family were fantastic, so kind and friendly. We’re used to people in these areas sometimes seeming distant, especially toward Italians, but they were nothing like that. We had the ground-floor apartment, which was very convenient, with parking just 10 metres from the entrance. It’s spacious for the price, bright, and soundproofed. The bathroom is a good size and has a bidet. The fixtures and bathroom seemed recently renovated and almost new. There’s a lovely garden with swings and tables. The setting is beautiful, quiet, and has a stunning view. The altitude is just right for getting away from city heat, and the location is handy for activities with children at the parks on Speikboden, Klausberg, and Baranci. One thing to know: the stable is a few metres from the house, so there can be a cow smell at certain times, though it’s not too strong. It disappears entirely inside the apartment, and you get used to it quickly outdoors. It adds to the authentic farm feel, and it didn’t bother us. The fridge and freezer are one unit, and the freezer doesn’t work very well, only freezing items where they touch the cooling part. Its compartment is also very small, so don’t stock up. The drive down into the valley can be a little dangerous because drivers going up and down can’t see each other, although there isn’t much traffic. When leaving, I’d suggest driving 50 metres uphill and turning around in the small market parking lot.

The children loved spending their free time with the farm animals, and there’s an outdoor spot to relax after a long hike. The hosts were very helpful, and Marianna greeted us so kindly. It’s a friendly, family-style place, and a great base for setting off on all kinds of trails. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for a week. We’d definitely come back.

Dear Hans and sisters, we hope to see you again soon! We had a wonderful time at your farm, and our five children were made to feel at home straight away. Hans invited them into the barn when we arrived. The next morning they got to help milk the cows, and they were welcome in the barn every day. They even claimed the big tractor. Hans and his family were happy to do anything for us. Every morning we had fresh cow’s milk and eggs on the table. Order and cleanliness clearly matter a lot to the Lenzer family. The village has a small general store with almost everything at good prices. There’s also a football pitch with a snack bar, and a very nice café less than 50 metres away.
