Apartments Hotel Garden

The only downside was that there’s no elevator. The apartment itself was beautiful and cozy: one bedroom with its own toilet, plus a living room with a fully equipped kitchen, a very comfortable sofa bed, and another toilet. My friend and I slept separately, which worked out so well. Breakfast wasn’t varied, but it was very good, and the lady looking after the property was lovely. Recommend!!

The location is perfect, less than a minute’s walk from the ski lifts, which fit right into the Sellaronda tour. There’s room for skis and boots, and the spa is a nice extra, although one of its two areas was set too hot. We stayed in the apartments for 4 nights. Our room was cozy but a little noisy, and breakfast was great.

The flat was a good size, and the location is excellent for skiing, around 300 m from the slopes, though it’s not ski-in/ski-out. But it fell well short of what we expected for the luxury price. On arrival there was an awful smell, possibly from old or dirty carpets. The sofa bed mattress was terrible, the bathroom fittings badly needed renovation and might have dated from the 70s or 80s, and the kitchen utensils and cutlery were kept to a bare minimum. There were 4 of us, and everything was counted out to a maximum of 4, including glasses, plates, and cutlery. We also found an empty vodka bottle from previous guests under the bed. When it snowed, ours was the only house on the road where no one cleared the parking area or paths, leaving us snowed in for nearly 2 days. There was also a problem with the local marketing initiative for bookings before Christmas week. Participating hotels and rental flats, including this one, were supposed to issue a voucher for a free night for every 4 nights booked. But the voucher was only given after check-in. When we asked for a refund for the free night, they said it had already been included in the original fee. That wasn’t true: I had a direct quote from before booking and a breakdown of the nightly fees through Booking.com, and the rates were the same as for a 2-night stay with no discount. Customer service then took 3 weeks to send an invoice I’d requested immediately. When it finally came, it didn’t break down the nightly costs, which seemed intended to hide that the Dolomiti Superski discount voucher hadn’t been applied. They were very rude throughout. I’ll never book here again and strongly recommend avoiding it.

We had a really pleasant stay, and the staff were super nice. We stayed in a Suite Imperial Deluxe, a huge room with a fridge, TV, dishwasher, and an amazing view of the Sassolungo. The spa is new and really nice too.
