Residence Luzerna ***

I opened the window, and a cat came into my room.

The location is central, with easy access to Ciampino ski lift; the supermarket is about 10 minutes away. The furnishings are simple and practical, but several things didn’t work properly. The dishwasher only used cold water, so we had to rinse the dishes again, and the bathroom tap was loose. The supplies for five people were very limited: one drying towel, one sponge, seven dishwasher tablets, one rubbish bag, and four rolls of toilet paper. There were no basic supplies for the coffee machine. The household items provided were poor quality, with blunt knives and many old products. Parking added to the base price. The sauna could only be used with an advance reservation, in a slot between 4 and 8 pm. In short, you have to organize or bring quite a lot yourself at this accommodation.

You can reach shops, restaurants, the town centre, and local attractions on foot from Residence Luzerna in Selva di Val Gardena, so there’s no need to use a car. It’s a peaceful, clean, comfortable place in a great location, and a lovely choice for a relaxing Dolomites holiday.

The place has a modern but cozy interior and is well located for skiing. But the dishwasher was broken, and there were dirty dishes when we arrived. The ski storage room is very dirty, rarely cleaned, and too small for four people. Parking is also short: we had two cars, so one had to be left nearby for a fee. Communication with the owner or agency, Muse Holiday, was very poor. Apparently the broken dishwasher is normal, but I can’t explain why messages went unanswered. At this price, there are much better rentals in Wolkenstein, especially ones managed directly by their owners, where you can avoid these problems.
