Villa Schiavi

I’m always happy to come back here. It’s a historic villa set among greenery, with a peaceful atmosphere and a very good breakfast. The owners are friendly, and their dinners are delicious, too.

The breakfast was excellent, better than you usually find, and the welcome was very kind. I stayed in a spacious apartment inside the villa that was in great shape and spotless. It’s a quiet location. My one personal gripe is the pillows. They don’t support my head the way I need, and because of acid reflux I usually sleep with two. Still, I’d recommend staying here. I don’t think you’ll regret it.

We were greeted warmly by the family, and the staff were helpful throughout. Our room was spacious and very clean, with exposed beams, a view of the inner courtyard, and a modern shower. The renovation has been done thoughtfully, keeping the villa’s charm intact. Breakfast is simple but has both sweet and savory choices, and there’s parking on site. We left smiling.

We’ve always had a lovely time here. The seasonal menu is varied and tasty, the wine list is broad, and the prices are fair. It’s an elegant, quiet, inviting place, with large dining rooms and meeting rooms available when needed. The management is very helpful. Be sure to reserve ahead.
