Agriturismo i Grappoli

The welcome from Claudio, Elsa, Gianna, and Liliana is what stayed with us most. They made us feel completely spoiled. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and breakfast each morning is fantastic. It’s a real gem in an idyllic borgata, with a direct view of the Castello of Serralunga.

The balcony and breakfast-pool-area both look out over the wine fields, and Grappoli is well placed for Serralunga and other nearby places. We loved the family, even though communication took some effort since we don't speak Italian and they don't speak English. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had good air conditioning. Breakfast was lovely, with fresh meat, cheeses, cakes, and coffee or tea. We also visited the wine cellar and enjoyed the wines. Would definitely recommend this Agriturismo.

Breakfast beside the pool was such a treat, with fresh cakes and bread every day, plus juice, local meat, and cheese. We spent six unforgettable days here in May, in a room with a stunning view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Langhe Valley. Elsa and Liliana were wonderful hosts, and Claudio, Elsa's better half, gave us a Barolo tasting at their Azienda Agricola Boasso winery. We loved this agriturisimo and came away feeling we'd made lifelong friends with Elsa, Claudio, and Liliana. Thank you!

The apartments are new, well equipped, and cleaned daily, with hotel status. There are just five of them, so it stays quiet, and the view over the vineyards and the small city of Serralunga d'Alba is fantastic. Breakfast each morning brought different local kitchen specialities. We still miss it, Elsa! Agriturismo de Grappoli is part of the Barolo winery Boasso Franco, and we recommend a wine tasting there. The apartments are next to Albergo Ristorante, a handy option for a class A dinner if you don't want to drive out in the evening.
