The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. My only gripe was the lack of air conditioning or a fan. It wasn't an issue at this time of year, though a degree or two warmer and it would have been uncomfortable. Otherwise, it was a great stay. The restaurant serves some truly delicious dishes with professional service, and gets five stars from me.

Update, 2020: The dining room had been renovated a bit, and both the kitchen and service had improved even further. The dishes were fantastic and inventive while still traditional. The truffle was amazing, and the wine suggestions for our three bottles were inspiring. Thanks so much! Back in 2016, I found the place nice and clean, with decent food and an awesome panorama.

The food, wine, and stunning setting have made this a must-visit every time we're in the Langhe. It's a top-class family-run restaurant. The older man directs cars in the car park and also collects glasses and plates. The daughter, I assume, handles everything besides the cooking, and is fabulous, going about her job so effortlessly. We can't communicate in words, but her passion and experience come through.

We chose the restaurant for dinner because gluten-free options were listed on the menu, and had a very nice experience. The food is excellent for both quality and price, and the owners were welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended!
