Bed&breakfast Benedetta

Everything was just right.

Top-notch.

We left after the first night even though we'd booked two, because the room was so dirty. Dust covered everything, including the picture frames and the area behind the headboard. The beds had duvets laid on top without covers, which I'd never seen before, and the cotton sheets underneath looked old and were put together haphazardly. One bed had midnight blue sheets, another white sheets with an aquamarine pillowcase, and another all-white bedding. The pillows were broken and tied up, with the ties still visible through the pillowcases. The bathroom was moldy and the linens smelled bad. After my husband showered, the smell got three times worse, and neither the children nor I could wash. My son and I have allergies, and we had a terrible night with itchy, runny noses and burning eyes. We couldn't move around in bed without stirring up dust. I complained and asked for another room, but the woman told me I should have mentioned our allergies, as if cleanliness were optional. She also said I was the first person to complain in 20 years, but the reviews show we're not the first. We didn't stay the second night. The lack of cleaning left me sick with allergies for three days. Not recommended, and avoid it if you have allergies.

Benedetta gave us such a warm welcome and was always available to answer questions. She's a wonderful, super kind person. We stayed April 25th to 27th with my cousins and the kids, visiting Pistoia, 5 km away, and the zoo, just 10 minutes away. The B&B is charming, with spotless, well-equipped rooms that have practically every comfort. There's a café across the street for breakfast, and both the coffee and pastries were delicious. Our room was clean and tidy each day. We'll be back soon. Thanks for everything, from Vanessa and family.
