The family who runs David hotel did everything to make us comfortable, and that was the best part of our stay. The hotel is well located, near a supermarket and train station, right where the Ticino river walk starts. Our clean, good-sized room had good internet. Breakfast was good and filling, with bottled water and freshly cooked eggs available if you ask.

The owner will make coffee, cappuccino, or eggs to order for each guest, including warm scrambled eggs or boiled eggs. Breakfast has a wide range of food, hot drinks, juice, and water, and they offer still or sparkling water for free. The staff are friendly and ready to help. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean, with fresh towels and toiletries provided and the room cleaned every day.

I can definitely recommend this hotel. The reception staff were especially friendly and helped me get a taxi in time for a meeting. It’s an excellent place.

I stayed here for 34 days in a row for work with Leonardo. It’s a quiet, convenient spot near the town centre, and in my view one of the best choices in Sesto Calende. The hotel is family-run and friendly, with a parking garage and air conditioning in every room, controlled by your own remote. Breakfast is good, with freshly made croissants and plenty to choose from.

The staff were excellent, especially when I had to leave early. They arranged a breakfast to go the night before, and I couldn’t fault the service. The hotel itself is pretty average for Sesto and not great by other standards. It feels run down and a bit lacking, with no tea or coffee in the room. I was in 216, and traffic noise plus the heating pipes kept me from getting a restful night. It’s about two-star standard, but okay for one night if your company is paying.
